My work is most impactful when product, design, and engineering can do their best work and foundational, repeatable things are “just easy”.

I love solving the puzzle of “how do we craft additions and documentation that meet our high standards of usability, accessibility, and aesthetics all while being easy-to-use and scalable for our teams?”

I’m always pushing myself to learn more and be a trusted resource for others. Building my own expertise in different areas is great, but it’s most impactful when that knowledge can be shared with other designers through people management or mentorships.

That relationship helps empower other designers to do excellent work and hopefully become leaders in their own product areas.

Conversations about design systems, accessibility, and inclusivity can feel daunting, especially for folks new to those areas.

I love the challenge of hearing people’s concerns and fears and then getting folks excited about those things, all while building empathy and most importantly the energy to tackle this “hard” but essential work.
